

We worked with Architectural Program Manager Dave Taulbee and Senior Architectural Designer Sherif Botros of Publix to design the reinvented GreenWise. The Lakeland location is the first ground up prototype. From kombucha on tap to shelves stocked with curated specialty products, this 25,000-square-foot specialty store hits the mark with foodies and health-conscious shoppers.

When David Tornek saw the opportunity to bring his popular Miami restaurant to Tampa’s trendy Hyde Park Village, he enlisted our restaurant studio. Meat Market is a modern American steak house with a glamorous, upbeat vibe. The 6,000-square-foot hot spot opened in late 2019 and has been named the best spot for a date and the best bar in Tampa Bay.

We continued work with Samantha David, Jeffrey Curley, Laura Polin and Dave York of WS Development at Hyde Park Village through 2019. The village is a stylish historic open-air center that is home to higher-end retailers, restaurants and entertainment. A new ground-up building housing co-working and event space Hyde House, Meat Market, Soul Cycle, Madewell and more opened in late 2019.

DOGPerfect is a new concept that offers supplies, grooming, training, adoption events and more to help pets and owners build healthy, happy lives together. We worked with President Robert Emery to design the prototype and open three locations thus far. Each is approximately 3,500 square feet. The DOGPerfect Arena within the stores has been a hit hosting training, doggy socials, dog birthday parties, adoption events and more.

A visit to Powell’s feels like an extension of home; a home-cooked meal, fresh baked bread, a chat with your neighbor and a welcoming familiar environment. Working with John Pritchett of Powell’s leadership team, we renovated Powell’s 30,000-square-foot Newfoundland store to modernize it and highlight unique assets. Construction will be complete in early 2020.

Continuing a now 5 year relationship with bartaco, we worked with Vice President of Construction and Development Stephan Gallant on site adaptations for the chain including the most recent Florida location in the new mixed-use complex, Aventura Park Square.

Working with Minto Communities Director of Community Planning Len Capozzo and Senior Director of Land Development and Planning Jared Stern, we designed the town center amenities for Latitude in Daytona. The five buildings we designed that make up the town center include a full service restaurant, a fitness center, a sales center, a movie theater, mixed-use retail, a guard gate and a welcome monument.

Through 2019 we continued work with Todd Taylor, Rodney Cattoor and Frank Carrera at Darden Restaurants to roll out Yard House. A full service restaurant chain known for its vast selection of beers fed through temperature-controlled lines run along the ceiling. The lines are striking in presence and double as a key design feature.

Working with Jose Borrego and the Regency Centers team, we completed a four year transformation of Bloomingdale Plaza.
Driven by Walmart vacating, giving way to a new Publix location, we executed a substantial makeover to re-brand the development with a modern, industrial aesthetic to better complement its vibrant mix of merchants and retailers and to enhance foot traffic.

Panna is a Venezuelan fast casual comfort food chain with six locations in the US, all of which are in Florida. It is owned by a passionate family of restauranteurs, the Meneses. The restaurant is designed to appeal to both Latin and non-Latin customers, creating a deep connection with the evolving South Florida community. An Aventura location opened this year and we’re continuing site adaption work for several more locations.

Working with Todd Knight and the Stellar Partners team, we developed a branded store environment utilizing iconic Philadelphia Tribune and it’s rich history as inspiration. Colors and materials were informed by the Philadelphia Tribune brand, and images from the paper’s rich heritage were utilized in graphics.

Working with Jill Enz of City of Jacksonville, Ed Busey of Harbinger Signs and Frank Anderson of ACO Construction we developed and implemented a branded, comprehensive signage system for the Jacksonville Riverwalk. The program incorporates the area’s rich cultural character to create a sense of place while providing intuitive and informative direction for visitors.

Working with Evan Mory, Cheryl Stacks and Nina Mahmoudi, we designed and implemented a new branded, comprehensive citywide wayfinding program. It includes both pedestrian and vehicular signage plus parking identities and is inspired by the city’s nickname, The Sunshine City. The city’s vibrant arts community is represented with mini murals along the sides of pedestrian directories.

John Scheffel has been an integral part of our team for 14 years leading our environmental graphics, placemaking and wayfinding work. This year he was promoted to Vice President + Director of Visual Design.
