Deighton Babis is a licensed architect with a passion for design that brings people together. With more than 25 years of experience, he guides clients through the design process with clarity, collaboration and a steady, thoughtful approach.
 
His work blends creative vision with functional, high-performing solutions across the commercial sector. Known for uniting design excellence with business strategy, he brings deep experience in project management, construction detailing, and navigating codes, materials and permitting.
 
Before joining api(+), Deighton held leadership roles at AAA The Auto Club Group, BDG Architects, LDDBlueline, and HOK, shaping projects and teams across multiple markets.
 
He earned a Master of Architecture from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Florida. Outside the office, he enjoys creating and collecting art, playing guitar, golfing, surfing, snowboarding and traveling.
